The Next Big Things in Upcoming Infrastructure

Progress takes you places

It’s been an established fact, a time-tested theory, and a universal phenomenon, that whenever there is development, wherever there is progress, the same has transformed lives and uplifted lifestyles. Riding on the back of growth and development, paradigms have changed, new benchmarks have been set, the present has blossomed and the future has opened up. The lives of individuals have prospered and society as a whole has flourished.

Growth has many faces, forms, and features. While every kind of growth has its own substance and significance, growth that touches your life and lifestyle, for instance, infrastructure growth, brings about transformation and evolution that impacts and brings about fundamental changes in the happiness quotient of every citizen.

In today’s time and age, when the world is reeling under the catastrophic effects of coronavirus, nations around the globe are facing the worst economic crisis since the great recession of 1929. While different countries have different strategies, plans, and roadmaps to bounce back after the great fall, there is one common agenda that they are all working on – investing in infrastructure.

India, for the past many years, has been on this trajectory of investing in infrastructure, with a major focus on connectivity – whether interstate, inter-city, or within a city.  The investment in the infrastructure sector has been especially high in tier 1 and tier 2 cities of India. Of all kinds of infrastructure developments, investment in building roads and bridges has been at its highest for the past few years. Real estate in Mumbai and real estate developers in Mumbai have benefitted to a great extent because of some slew of government initiatives.

Builders in Mumbai have been quite vocal about the lack of a good commutation system and option in a megapolis like Mumbai. Real estate developers are stressing the urgent need to bolster Mumbai’s infrastructure which is the backbone for selling residential property in Mumbai, especially luxury properties in Mumbai. Take for example a destination like Kandivali which is one of the most populated and coveted destinations in Mumbai.

The suburb remains in high demand for residential property in Kandivali. Because of its strategic location on the map of Mumbai, and its prestigious status, Kandivali is the hot spot for luxury properties in Mumbai. While currently, Kandivali is well and conveniently connected to the rest of Mumbai via a fabulous rail and road network, there are few infrastructural developments in the offing that will raise the bar of comfort, convenience, efficiency, and productivity for those staying in residential projects in Kandivali.

These infrastructure developments are touted as the next big thing in upcoming infrastructure to happen in Kandivali. The list of the new and futuristic infrastructure is as follows :

1) Metro Line – Andheri to Dahisar and Dahisar to Mankhurd via Bandra, this Metro line will help decongest one of the busiest routes of Mumbai. By cutting down traveling time by almost 25%, this Metro Line will cater to those residential projects in Kandivali which lacked vicinity to the western railway line.

2) Tunnel Road – This is going to be a boon for those traveling between Borivali and Mulund. The Tunnel Road would connect the Western side of Mumbai to the Central side, something much-needed crisscrossing the length and breadth of Mumbai is always a big challenge. A great connection between two of the most visited places in Mumbai, the Tunnel Road would reduce the travel time between Borivali and Mulund from the present over 1 hour to almost 30 minutes.

3) Water Transport – It is yet another innovation that will help commutation between Borivali and Mulund reduce to 30 minutes instead of the current and the usual 60 minutes. The ride not only promises to be quick and easy but also very refreshing as you navigate through sea blue waters breathing in fresh air both while going and coming.

4) Coastal Road – The much anticipated and highly appreciated transport and communication line that Mumbai awaits is the Coastal Road. Promising to drastically reduce the travel time to South Mumbai, the Coastal Road will be a feather in the cap of the city of Mumbai. Now commuters can beat the peak hour traffic blues and expect to reach home in time to catch their favorite show, have dinner with family and spend quality time with loved ones.

5) Suspension Bridge – This yet another engineering and architectural wonder connecting the gap between Westcenter in Kandivali and Mind Space in Malad would help circumvent the traffic at Mith Chowki. Very similar in technology and design to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, this Suspension Bridge will help commuters reach Malad from Kandivali in less than half the time clocked on any given working day.

These robust and futuristic upcoming infrastructural developments in Kandivali and around Westcenter, will not only propel the suburb into the big league but also make luxury properties in Kandivali, like Westcenter, the center of attraction for builders as well as buyers too. A boon for upcoming residential projects in Mumbai, and especially in Kandivali, these infrastructure developments, are expected to change the way Kandivali lives and travels, in a big way making not just Kandivali, but also Westcenter a hotspot for investors and owners of residential flats in Kandivali. All those who are looking up to the future, and wish to ride the wave of economic upsurge, must consider Kandivali and Westcenter as their destination of the future which holds the potential to change your future for the best.
